May Angels Lead You In

Clouds rest closely to the ground
Driving through without a sound
Heater on and headlights guide
And Lord you know how hard I've tried

Gates lead me home once again
The steady rhythm of that train
Doors wide open greet me in
Wipe off the moisture from my skin

Strum the chords you love to hear
I whisper quietly in your ear
Wipe away the tears you cry
I'll sing you now a lullaby

Now I lay me down to sleep
I pray the Lord my soul to keep
But if I die before I wake
I pray for God my soul to take

And You Take, Because They Give

As we learn, as we age,
we've learned nothing,
and my body still aches.

Miles Ago

Harsh lines separate the night from day,
as I wake up in foreign places after long nights.
Paint drips like water falls,
my skin is wet from those days at the river.
Black to white and ash,
Smoke rises and dissipates into thin air.
My feet up on the dashboard while you drive,
I sing those songs to the rushing air beside me.
As I recall those days ago,
the best summer of my life.

Always coming back home to you.

Question of the blog:
When was the best summer of your life?

Not Once

Good morning. You are going to get through this day, just like you get through every day. You are going to lay your head to rest soon enough. Keep your eyes looking forward and your feet moving. Walking is just a series of falling towards your goal.

Strike One

Dear Septum Ring,
Don't you EVER sneak away from me in the middle of the night again. This is a warning. Just because my neighbors hate you, doesn't mean you can just leave without asking. This is a two way relationship here.
Sincerely,
Alexandra Seal.

Question of the blog:
This photo was taken at American Apparel. The lighting in their dressing rooms is so amazing, I am tempted to go back and do photoshoots with my friends inside them.. Places like Hollister though, are ones where I'd rather wait outside than shop with my friends. It is so dark and crowded in there, I feel like I'm being suffocated.

Where do you like to shop? Is there a specific atmosphere you enjoy?

Happy Thursday

This was last night. My life is a joke.

But I did receive this today:

Dear Alexandra,
Happy Thursday. You've made it through another week, and we are so proud of you. Here is a free caramel latte, perfect temperature, just for you. Have a great weekend.
Love Always,
Panera Bread

Oh, how I love you, Panera.
Also- Today was the day. Where my car celebrated its 121212nd mile birthday. YEE!

Question of the blog:
Do you play any instruments?
If you could play any particular one you do not currently play, which would you choose?
