The other day at work, I was whistling along to one of my cds as a made this woman her drink. She asked me when I learned how to whistle, and I honestly had never thought about that before. I remember learning how to whistle inwards, when I was about eight or nine, in the kitchen in my dad's church. I remember the man that would always fix our computers taught me, and I was so proud that I had finally learned. Just the roll of your tongue in the right direction and i could create music in a new way.
This random lady asking me such a simple question had brought me a lot more than what she thought. I started remembering all of these first memories from when i was a child.. Like how I learned how to ride a bike on a blue bicycle with a banana seat, and i remember my babysitter pushing the bike from behind me when we were on my back lawn. and we would ride up and down my street for weeks on that banana bike.
If i think of any others, I will be sure to jot them down on here.
