As a child, one of my favorite movies was Matilda. I remember watching that, and Spice World, almost every day. I loved Matilda's childish mind, and her love for reading. She had a creative soul and used her "powers" for good. There was a song in the movie that has stuck with me until years later, and every now and then it will just get stuck in my head, and i'll whistle the tune or try and make out some lyrics close to what i remembered from when i was so little, until one day i found the song on YouTube, and the great mask was uncovered and it was Send Me On My Way by Rusted Root! Listening to it again was so refreshing, and i missed so much those lazy days full of home made music videos my sisters and I would put together with our video camera, and my obsession for Hanson and Spice Girls, and how i wanted Matilda's powers SO BAD when i was young! Anyways, this song that I used to love, is still one of my favorites today. It's so wonderful to find something from your past that you can still hold on to today. When I listen to it i feel like a young child again, and I love that.
