Sheets and Things

In exactly one month, I will be at school!
I'll be honest, I've felt a little left out these past two years. Watching my friends go off to school, having adventures and calling somewhere else home has been weird to watch from the sideline. I guess the way I coped with living at home is that I agreed to leave eventually, but by this time I had practically given up on the idea of leaving Sierra College. Now I am here, sitting by a pool and imagining my trip in just one month, and can't even fathom it! I just put in my month's notice at work, I guess that helped a bit. Hmm,
Let's see... How have I prepared so far...
I bought all of my bedding. Check.
I have a computer that I'll bring... Check.
My towels are adorable. Check.
Wait.. Really, is that it? Oh great. I guess I have some things to get. I'll take some photos for you kids and post them soon. But really, what do you even buy for college? It will all fall into place. I'm not worried.

Now I just need to get into my classes I need. Oh goodness...

Question of the blog:
Any suggestions of what I should buy for school? =s

Just watching the trailer makes me want to cry.

Steady As The Drum

Lift your weary feet,
Tired from traveling roads so long,
In search for that one you cannot find.
It's just sticks and stones.

As your hair grows long,
Submerge your past under the rush
Like a baptism, you cleanse yourself.
We are roots and rivers.

More Vivid Than Normal

As most of you know, I'm in Idaho for the week. I am one of those people that usually dreams and can remember adventures while in my deep slumber. For some reason though, this trip has brought me an incredible amount of exhaustion, in the form of dreams. My dreams have been SO vivid each night and each time I nap, that I feel as though I'm more tired than I was the night before. Reoccurring dreams and brand new ones have been filling my brain to the brim, and I am sick of it!

Aside from that, I've had a lovely time here in Idaho. Today we went to Rigby Lake and swam and told stories of peeing our pants.

Question of the blog:
Do you remember most of your dreams, or do you sleep in silence?

Summer Winds Will Send You Home

(Yellowstone National Park. By Alexandra Seal.)

Wild grass, wet, untamed,
blows in the wind like my baby's hair.
Dense forest to blanket the ground,
you're safe and sound.
Wrap my arms around you,
warm wind, call this home.
Rivers bend like veins to your heart,
pumping life in and through,
right up to your doorstep.
So baby, open that door and let the light in.
It's time to let me in.
Winding roads through tall pines,
dancing with lavendar petals,
tapping toes of yellow and green.
We saw wildlife near and far,
looking up we saw the stars.

Girl, I Can't Stay

I am preparing for school in the fall.
It's getting really exciting, finding things to bring to school, what to pack, dates and times... So this blog is really a question, which is..

Question of the blog:
Would you like to join me on this adventure? Should I start blogging about preparations? Would you like to see photos of what I'm bringing and have bough for school? Let me know.
