Drink Up

I am so thirsty.
Why can I not quench my thirst?? And the worst part about it, is I'll be waking up all night now because I'm going to have to pee every hour.

But on a lighter note, I am traveling North to see some family in Long Beach tomorrow. Cannot wait to feel that familial love. That is one of the biggest reasons why I miss home so much.

Question of the blog:
It's a cold, rainy day outside, and you've just come home from a long day away from your warm and cozy home. What drink do you make yourself?

Your Fire Will Lead You On

We gather together, and we pick up
Singing songs you and I both know
Wander to the nearest one
We set fire and watch it glow.

My baby's here, and she blows smoke
It fades into the fire and spins
The air changes its night course
and our backs are to the wind.

And though my love is far from here
hints of him come sneaking through
I am reminded of all that I miss
The back of my hand, old and new.

A collection of my recent past here
Memories created leave a scar
I look up to hide back these tears
And make a wish upon a star.

Your fire will lead you on,
Light your path always.

French

I love all my new friends who speak French. Such a beautiful language.

Question of the blog:
I've always been fascinated with other cultures, but not one particularly so much that I have studied their language. I know a little bit of Spanish, but if I could speak any language fluently, it would probably be German. If you could speak any foreign language fluently, which would you choose?

Come And Go

And the days come to you like sailors, you watch them as they drift away,
they meet the sunrise out at the horizon.

It's been a good weekend. I am very tired, still getting over this stupid cold I've had for 8 days. People that live on campus are moving back home, and it is very sad for everyone. The campus is quiet, the nights are more lonely for everyone, but it's really inspired me. The friends I've been meeting are all a part of the EF program, where they come and stay in San Diego (or wherever an Education First program is) and they live here as students, and learn English. They go to class on week days, and party on weekends. Unfortunately, they don't really experience the full American lifestyle, since it's all foreign kids living with other foreign kids. So I am really going to push my friendships with them, in hopes that they will want to journey with me and learn more about how I live my life down here. Even though I live pretty basically down here, it's still more than they get to experience. To see someone have a good time in the short time they live here, I'd do a lot. Whether it's driving them to the beach, or taking them to my favorite coffee shop, it's worth it for them and worth it for me. There's nothing like making new friends through experiences together.
So more adventures, more traveling, more late nights, more beach days.
Let the good times roll.

Question of the blog:
If you could live in ANY country, and live as a student learning their language, where would you go?

Gone Audio

My new obsession...

Audio books!

But why must they be so expensive??
Anyone have an audio book they want to trade me for "World War Z"?

Also, World War Z was sooo good, especially via audio. For those of you who haven't read it, it's sort of set up like an oral history of the zombie wars, so the interviewer is talking to people all over the world, and they're giving their stories from the war. It's so fun on cd, because you hear all their accents and such. I know I'm a nerd. But what do you expect?

Question of the blog:
Audio books... The ish, or too far from literature for you?

Lune Vintage Necklace!

Today I got a lovely package in the mail from my older sister, Moorea Seal. She has great connections with wonderful jewelry artists, and got this beautiful necklace for me! Jill from LuneVintage.Blogspot.com made this necklace, the Love Lune Talisman Tassel Necklace in Jasper. It looks just like the image I first saw on her Etsy shop, and matches my style so well! I'm so pleased. Nothing like a new piece of beautiful jewelry to brighten a stormy day!

Here are a few more images of her jewelry. She has a beautiful style that could match any lady's outfit. I will pair this necklace up against my infinite amount of little black dresses, or with a flowy little top and denim. Such a versatile piece, and I'll be wearing it all the time now!

Question of the blog:
Some people are just meant for jewelry, I feel like I'm that type of person. I will always be wearing some piece of jewelry. Currently, I am wearing two rings, a watch, friendship bracelet, septum ring, and my new Tassel necklace.
Are you the type of person who wears a lot of jewelry, or would rather wear no jewelry at all?

Left You Out To Dry

Yikes.
I've been a bit incognito lately. Avoiding most calls, some texts. I haven't taken many photos worth posting, haven't posted photos on Facebook in weeks, rarely post on here, or on any other sites I use.

To fill you in, here's my current status.
Long hair, wet and untamed. Post-gym, post-Stats exam, I am tired and ready for rest. I legtimitately sleep-walked the other night, and it really scared me. Been out and about, learning how to shoot good photos on film. Making so many new friends, from all over the world.. Switzerland, Denmark, Chile, Venezuela. I appreciate the university I live at. One of my oldest friends got married last weekend, I'll post photos later. I miss my best friend. Remaining busy, trying hard in school, playing, living life.

Sorry I sort of hung you guys out to dry and didn't check back in for a while.. I promise I'll get back on a decent schedule soon..

Question of the blog:
You've just woken up from a beautiful sleep. The light is shining through the blinds, creating a beautiful bar code across your floor and onto your sheets. It's morning, and blues and greens tell you that it's going to be a good day.
What do you do first?
